FILICIDE: Brooklyn: Tenika Revell

Heartbroken boyfriend says mother with breast cancer 'killed seven-year-old son because she didn't want anyone else to raise him'

The longtime boyfriend of Tenika Revell, 40, says the cancer-stricken mother brutally beat her seven-year-old son to death in their Brooklyn apartment because she didn't want anyone else to raise her child.
On Friday night, Revell called 911 and said she had killed her son and then taken pills in order to commit suicide.
When officers arrived at Revell's Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment they found youngster Bernard Revell, 7, unconscious and unresponsive lying in his bed.

'She took his life. She’s got to live with that for the rest of her life.'
Revell was the second mother accused of killing her child in New York City in the past few days.
Bronx mother Lisette Bamenga, 29, killed her two young children by feeding them deicer before slashing her wrists and turning on the gas on Thursday night, police said.
The mother, who worked as a teacher, left a suicide note saying she wanted to 'take her children to a better place' before taping over the windows of her home and turning on the burners on her stove.
